At the 87th Academy Awards "Oscar" winning the "Best Animated Film" category was "City of Heroes" (Big Hero 6). The film follows the adventures of big robot Baymax and prodigy Hiro Hamada, who team up with a group of friends to form a high-tech team.
Robots have begun to appear in movies since 1927, when Fritz Lang showed the android Maria in the film "Metropolis". It was the first robot ever depicted in a film.
Lang was way ahead of his time, so argued George Lucas, who modeled C-3PO after Maria. "Metropolis" was his favorite movie when he was in film school.

The film follows the life of the main character, an android who is bought as a household robot programmed to do chores. The Martin family soon learns that they do not have an ordinary robot living with them, as Andrew begins to experience emotions and give off creative thoughts. Throughout the film, which spans two centuries, Andrew learns the intricacies of humanity, life and love.

"Transformers" (2007)

Once upon a time on the planet Cybertron, a massive, powerful alien race split into two factions: the noble Autobots and the treacherous Decepticons. They fought over a talisman known as the Olspark, which is a cube with the ability to grant infinite power. Eventually the Autobots secretly removed it from their planet to an unknown location on Earth. Now, hundreds of years later, the Decepticons have come to find the talisman, and unless the Autobots find it first, Earth will be enslaved or destroyed by a powerful force of evil aliens.

"The Stepford Wives (2004)

Joanna and her husband Walter move to the fabled town of Stepford, Connecticut. The town has a peculiarity : the wives behave alarmingly well, and all the husbands have too happy lives. Joanna soon learns of a sinister plot by the men of the town to replace their wives with android duplicates.
This comedy thriller is an updated version of the 1975 classic suspense film.

"Artificial Intelligence (2001)

Based on the story "Supertoys Enough All Summer" by Brian Aldissf. The science fiction drama "Artificial Intelligence" tells the story of a robot child who wants to be "real". David is an android who looks just like an ordinary boy, uniquely programmed with the ability to love.

A spaceship lands on a planet ruled by the expatriate Pigeon, who has created a kingdom with his daughter and the docile robot Robbie. But the doctor’s subconscious monster begins to feed on negative emotions when his daughter meets other people and learns how to kiss.

"Robocop" (1987)

An incurably injured policeman returns to life as a superhuman/cyborg who is used to clean up the crime-ridden streets of futuristic Detroit. Throughout the film, Robocop is haunted by memories of his painful past.
