Google revealed a new initiative to speed up web pages on mobile devices: Accelerated Mobile Pages

by admin

Today on Google’s official blog The post Announcement of the search giant’s new open initiative Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) designed to speed up web pages on mobile devices. It concerns the use by web programmers of a special AMP HTML library, the code of which is available as a technical preview at github The unofficial symbol of the library is the lightning icon "⚡" thus implying its speed on mobile devices.
AMP HTML believes that the performance of a web page depends significantly on the number of JavaScript code of various libraries that implement different dynamic functionality. Instead of explicitly or implicitly using JavaScript for elements such as various polls or videos, for example, developers are encouraged to use Web Components specifically designed for AMP HTML. You can see a list of these components here The JS code of these components should not affect the performance of the web page.
Now the AMP HTML library has only 4 components and a special validator to check if the page was built according to AMP standard. If you add "#development=1" to URL, the library performs assert-methods to find out if the page layout fits AMP principles and outputs the results to the browser’s console. A simple web page should look something like this :

<!doctype html><html ⚡><head><meta charset="utf-8"><link rel="canonical" href="hello-world.html" ><meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1, minimum-scale=1, maximum-scale=1, user-scalable=no, minimal-ui"><script src="https://cdn.ampproject.org/v0.js" async> </script><style> body {opacity: 0}</style> <noscript> <style> body {opacity: 1}</style> </noscript></head><body> Hello World!</body></html>

For an example of ready-to-use AMP documents, Google offers to try its search – you can access it from a mobile device at this URL: g.co/ampdemo You can appreciate how it looks visually with the gif animation :
