Roskomnadzor requires the social network Facebook to remove fraudulent ads that use the name and symbols of the state corporation Roscosmos. About it reported On the agency’s website.
According to Roskomnadzor, users of the site are invited to register in an alleged Roscosmos project and offer to earn money in the stock markets. After clicking on the advertising link, the user fills out a form, and then the algorithm offers to send their bank details. The department noted that in this way fraudsters steal money from bank accounts.
In addition to removing fraudulent ads, the RCN requires the company’s management to check and bring the mechanisms of moderation and pre-moderation of advertising content in accordance with Russian law.
Roskomnadzor stated that this violates Article 13.41 of the CAO RF on the procedure for restricting access to unlawful information (including the failure to remove false information). Penalty for this violation is up to four million rubles for legal entities, the agency said. In addition, Roskomnadzor reminded that since February 1, 2021 there is a law according to which social networks have to find and block socially dangerous content by themselves.
On a new Roscosmos logo fraud scheme told deputy of the State Duma Anton Gorelkin in his Telegram channel. According to him, users in the Facebook feed appears a page with the logo of the "Vesti" and the questionnaire to be filled out. After that, they get a call from the operator of the non-existent Roscosmos call center and ask them to hand over their bank card number, Gorelkin claimed.
