Startup idea: Making it easier to surf the web

by admin

Hello.
I have a little idea that I think could improve the stay online, the interaction between users and site creators… How do I see it?
So, let’s start properly with the problem.
The problem as such is not in fact, use the internet, more advanced users use additional services ala RSS, etc.. BUT!

Forums

Suppose a person has posted a reply in a forum and is waiting for a reply. How is it more convenient for him to follow the topic?
There are options: F5, email … everything? From here it turns out that a person has to spend time refreshing the page, view e-mail, etc. If a person uses email, then you get a mess with the right emails from clients and with the forums … this is not the best option … Ie convenient tracking of the topic as such is not, unfortunately, correct.

News

It’s a little easier here. News sites almost all already have RSS format, so it’s much more convenient to read them. There’s probably no inconvenience here…

Discussion

You read an article on some site… How do you discuss it if the site doesn’t support comments? You can’t…
– In addition to this data, there is also one-time data, such as weather, exchange rates, horoscopes(even so) and other things… What a person spends time on at the beginning of the day…

What’s the idea

My idea is to cross-cut the site as such (readonly) into a more interactive version for the general public…
The first steps have already been taken, it’s GreaseMonkey with custom scripts that allow you to improve something on the site.
But it’s not really convenient, since not everyone has JS…

How will this work?

This can work as a separate plugin … For example for FireFox … so in the viewing area will add another folder of our plugin … Fortunately now monitors are more and more and so it should not interfere much …
The system can be based on widgets, i.e. you can make a widget for habrahabr which by topic ID will extract responses to your comments, or just all the comments and show you…
It can be done like this : Updates (14)
So people click on updates and they get a feed with updates, which is divided into two windows, on the left – the name of the widget – on the right – information field (ala RSS reader), people click on the widgets read the updates they provide… Ie it depends if the site has RSS or not…
You can also add a button "Discuss" by clicking on which the box for the page where the user is now…
You could add a "notes" button… i.e. make it Lebedev style on businesslinks… you make some notes for yourself on the site and they are saved…
In general, there is a flight of fancy.
Site developers can provide some API which would allow to more accurately identify the user… For example the user entered his name in the plugin as "Vasily Petrov"… and sites that support this thing, can write "Hello, Vasily!" convenient? I think so… more interaction with the user…
Monetization is possible by placing adsence in view notifications… but in general this kind of thing can be done just for fun and move progress…
All in all, it’s still raw and that’s understandable… but the main idea is to make more powerful user interaction and reduce the time for unnecessary visits…
